Awareness & Consent
Only an enthusiastic yes is a yes. Our consent rules, the awareness team and the values that carry every Ungeniert night: safe, sane & consensual.

Only an enthusiastic “Yes!” is a yes
We strictly follow the principle: only an enthusiastic yes is a yes. Any physical approach requires a clear, positive permission beforehand – no hesitation, no guessing, no “silent consent”. This ensures that boundaries are not only respected, but actively sought.
SafeRSpace
Libelle is a protected space: everything that happens here follows our consent rules. We place great value on mindfulness, respectful interaction and the unconditional observance of consent.
Awareness team
The Libelle Awareness Team is there for you throughout the night – visible, approachable, present.
They look after the atmosphere, safety and wellbeing, so you can let go without having to stay more alert than necessary.
Boundaries are both invitation and responsibility. Those who notice and honour them make the night better for everyone. Those who miss them will be reminded – gently, clearly, and if needed, firmly.
Feeling uncomfortable, witnessing boundary-crossing behaviour, or want to share something? You can recognise the Awareness Team by their fairy lights. You can also turn to the organisers, the people at the bar or at the entrance at any time.
Our rules
- No mobile phones. Phones are taped over at the entrance, photos are strictly forbidden.
- Ask before you touch anyone.
- Anything other than an enthusiastic “yes” means “no”.
- Accept a no – including when someone doesn’t want to talk to you or spend time with you.
- What happens at Libelle stays at Libelle.
Sexuality requires a foundation of trust between everyone involved and a good sense of your own desires and boundaries. If sexuality happens safely, sanely and consensually, it’s fine.
So it can be about sex – but it doesn’t have to be. Don’t expect everyone present to want sex, or that someone will have sex with you. You always decide for yourself. You don’t have to join in anything, but you should be able to accept that other people may get intimate with each other.
Don’t touch anyone without asking and don’t assume anything. You don’t owe anyone attention, time or a conversation. If you’re not interested or feel uncomfortable, say so and report it if necessary. If someone won’t accept a “no” or you witness discriminatory behaviour, please turn to our Awareness Team. To keep Libelle alive as a sex-positive space, we sanction violations – up to and including a permanent ban.
Safe, sane & consensual
Whenever any form of sexuality happens consensually, the principle “Always play safe, sane & consensual” applies. That means: always act safely, responsibly and in agreement with the person in front of you.
- Safe: Only use practices you have safely mastered and have protected sex. Everything you need is in our safer-sex cabinet.
- Sane: We value responsible drinking and do without illegal drugs. Come cheerful, but not lost – entry ends where clarity is missing.
- Consensual: Everything is consensual. Respect the boundaries of others and protect your own.
Respect for privacy
We place great value on your privacy. Everything that happens at Ungeniert should stay there.
If you happen to run into people you know and are worried they might be indiscreet, don’t hesitate to bring it up. Chances are they share the same concern.
Sex-positive
Sex-positive means a generally positive view of sexuality. It means that sexuality is not only a source of pleasure and experience, but also a path to self-discovery.
Sex-positive also means respect for every person’s individual choice regarding their (legal) sexuality. It includes acceptance of every sexual orientation, identity, asexuality, and the decision to abstain from sexuality if that is what someone wants.
Regardless of sexual orientation or identity, we always value mutual agreement and consent in all our interactions.
Your first steps
If it feels better to have someone by your side on your first visit, you can turn to the hosts or the team members at the entrance. They are happy to help, show you around and answer your questions.
Welcome to a new world full of possibilities and open encounters!
